Press release: Growth & Expansion – 08.12.2016

World eSport, the social network combining the best features of LinkedIn & Facebook, entirely dedicated to the eSport & Gaming industries, continues growing and accelerates its expansion.

World eSport successfully launched the beta version of the platform on September 9th, 2016. Initially only available on PC/Mac, it released the mobile version of the website on September 28th and is now fully responsive, which largely contributed to the early success of the project.

Another factor that explains the early success of World eSport is the fact that the website was immediately available in English, French and German. The full translation of the website definitely helped to get an international audience right from the beginning.

“While we attended the more than famous Web Summit which was held in Lisbon, Portugal from 7-10 November 2016, and exhibited World eSport and our concept, our team is now focused on finding our first external investor and raising funds in order to support the growth of the platform and help us scale.” explains Founder & CEO of World eSport Marc “vazy” Berthold.

With numerous new functionalities added within the last weeks, such as the “Link preview”, the “Blog”, the “Email notifications” or, most recently, the possibility to display your Twitch live stream directly from your World eSport profile, the team is now finalising the message centre, which will let everyone communicate with each other through a live chat system.

Rapidly growing, the platform will also soon receive the addition of the “Team Fan Pages”, allowing teams/associations to stay in touch with their community. Up next will also be the “Groups” section, where users will be able to exchange about eSport and Gaming related topics.

“We are very satisfied with the launch of World eSport and the way it grows. We spend a lot of time discussing and interacting with our users and the feedback we receive is fantastic! It is a great feeling to see that people were waiting for such a social network and share it with their friends. We are working really hard to offer them the best features.” says Alexandra “Maxima” Merz, Founder.

Founder & CEO of Esports brought me so much, that it is more than natural to help grow it. By bringing to life, we want to ensure that every esports enthusiast in the world can live his passion fully.
